Celeste is the founder of Pennyfarthing Pictures, a production company that focuses on the creation of children's films. Celeste writes, directs, designs, and produces her various projects. Her debut film, Paper Princes, Gypsies, and the Boy With No Return Address, played in 6 international film festivals across North America. A member of the Directors Guild of Canada, Celeste also works in the art department of many feature films and television shows, from indie Canadian favourite Score: A Hockey Musical, to television series Combat Hospital. Celeste's love for the visual is strongly reflected in her colourful and eccentric sets, costumes, and attention to props. Celeste's films aim to tell stories from a child's perspective, free from adult preconceptions. She hopes to capture the essence of childhood, through picture, sound, and atmosphere.
Aaron Kopff has produced and directed award-winning films of all genres, from experimental, commercial, short, documentary and features, everywhere from Bosnia to Brazil. In addition to Electric Train Productions, a film and video production company he founded; he is also a creative director and cofounder of Artist Bloc, a web based documentary arts collective. He has collaborated with artists such as Broken Social Scene, The Happiness Project, and many more. He has had films screen at festivals around the world and he is currently in the early stages of preproduction on his first feature film. Aaron enjoyed making The Intergalactic Space Adventures of Cleo and Anouk, is his first children's short. He thoroughly enjoyed the project and looks forward to continue making more.
Raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Gemini-nominated cinematographer Daniel Grant developed an interest in image making at a young age through still photography. Upon graduating from the film studies program at Ryerson University, he was awarded 1st Prize for Student Cinematography in Canada by the Canadian Society of Cinematographers (CSC). Since then he has accumulated a wide variety of credits as a cinematographer on over fifty short films, documentaries, and several feature films, including Canada's first live-action 3D feature, Dead Before Dawn. His work has been shown at festivals around the world, such as Berlinale, Sundance, Slamdance, and the Toronto International Film Festival. In 2011, the CSC has recognized him again with a nomination for his work on the drama Hangnail, and he was also recently nominated for a Gemini for the documentary Love at the Twilite Motel.
Michael Pierro's approach to the arts is a multidisciplinary one. As a filmmaker he plays the roles of both director and editor. His directing credits include Cafeteria, Hey, George and most recently Waking which all played as official selections at the Worldwide Short Film Festival. As an editor he has worked in a variety of genres, from short fiction films to music videos and reality TV shows.
Michael is also a founding member of Made By Other People, a Toronto based art and film collective focused on the independent production and dissemination of original work in all media.
